Willow Tree Farm in the 1960's

About Us

Willow Tree Farm was acquired by John & Sheila Cooper in the mid 1980’s, at that stage a small residential park with an adjoining Holiday park. The holiday park was eventually closed down & in 1992 John & Sheila moved in & began slowly redeveloping the park with residential park homes.

Fast forward a few years...

Willow Tree has now been managed for several years by John & Sheila’s son, Martin, who gave up his former life overseas to return to take on the day to day running of the park & start the next stage of development. He is very proud to be continuing his parents’ work, to be maintaining & continuing to develop the wonderful park they helped to create.

Willow Tree Farm in the 1980's

Willow Tree sadly lost Sheila Cooper in 2008. Until very recently John Cooper was still the guiding force for the development & management of the park, sadly passing away in January 2024. Martin benefitted greatly from his vast knowledge & experience while learning what he needed to know. John was seen less often around the park in recent years but was always involved in the background, advising, directing & always having the final say in every decision. We continue to miss his guidance & wisdom. Willow Tree must now go forwards without the 2 founders of the modern day park but we are committed to doing everything we can to maintain their high standards, taking care of the park & it's wonderful residents as well as continuing to develop new homes.

Willow Tree Farm Today

In 2023 we began work on a new phase of development for 15 new homes. The first of our new homes is now for sale & we also have one pre owned home for sale, as well as several homes for sale by the home owners. Much of the groundwork is now complete for the next 2 new homes which we expect to be in place & for sale in the coming months. Please contact our Park Office for more information.

Concrete base 2023

Building a concrete base May 2023

When constructing the concrete base for a new home, driveway & garage we always work to the highest standards, using 50% over the required specifications. We use 150mm instead of the required 100mm thickness of concrete as well as steel reinforcing and fibrecrete, rather than one or the other. We are confident that we have some of the strongest, most stable home bases in the country.

Why Willow Tree Farm is different

We believe our park is different due to the services we provide & the level of personal attention the park & it's residents receive. We have 2 full time staff dedicated to keeping the park looking good & running smoothly. We patrol the park several times daily, keeping us in close contact with the residents & keeping an eye on security, monitoring our street lighting & our internal sewage pumping system.

Chris, our assistant manager & maintenance person is always available to provide resident support to our mostly elderly residents, helping with minor maintenance issues or assisting with finding trusted tradesmen when needed. He is also available on a emergency call number 24 hours a day & has been known to come out in the middle of the night on the rare occasions this has been needed. In the summer months he is often seen pushing a lawn mower, strimming, hedge cutting & keeping the park looking as good as it can. He also mans the park office where our residents often pop in for a chat during the day as they pass.

Martin, the manager & partner lives on site & can usually respond to any problems within 5 - 10 minutes. He deals with most of the park admin & the night time security patrols, as well as assisting Chris with the constant park maintenance needed.

We provide an emergency contact holding service, allowing us to contact residents families in times of need, a key holding service to assist our residents when any problem occurs or emergency access is needed. We also hold emergency stock of the LPG gas used by every home, to prevent a situation where residents have to wait for an extended delivery from the suppliers.

Willow Tree Farm is a close, happy community that we believe is unlike any other park, developed & run by the same family since the early 1980's. Please see our community page for more details on our up coming community events.
